Hoosier. Advocate. Mom.

Brienne is a lifelong Hoosier, an experienced lawyer, and a fierce advocate for voting rights, equity, and the City of Indianapolis.

Brienne served for eight years as the Director of Elections for the Marion County Election Board, where she worked tirelessly to ensure our elections are free, fair, accurate, and accessible in Indiana’s largest city. In 2018, she was named the State of Indiana’s Election Administrator of the Year.

Prior to her appointment as Director of Elections, Brienne served as a Deputy Prosecutor in Marion County. In the courtroom, she fought every day to bring justice and peace to the streets of Indianapolis.

In her free time, Brienne can usually be found doing anything outside like jogging and hiking, hanging out with her family, or going on road trips (that must involve gas station coffee and good music).

Brienne was born and raised in Indiana and currently resides in City-County Council District 2 in Indianapolis. She attended Indiana University, Bloomington earning a degree in economics and business. She earned her law degree from the Indiana University McKinney School of Law in Indianapolis and is admitted to practice in the State of Indiana.
